Aggregation Services
Purchasing energy in groups allows customers to buy energy at more competitive rates than an individual user. VESI offers group aggregation services to municipalities, not-for-profit groups and energy cooperatives.

Under state law, communities and businesses have been given the ability to establish aggregations for the purchase of natural gas from alternative suppliers, in order to attempt to save money for users through the power of bulk purchasing.

Natural gas customers will not notice any change in how their gas service is provided. Even when businesses buy their supply of gas from an alternative supplier, the local natural gas utility still provides the distribution of the gas to homes and businesses, the billing and collection, and the maintenance and repair of gas lines in the streets and right-of-ways. If you noticed an odor of gas, for example, you would still call Columbia Gas.
