Where to find your Consumers Energy POD NUMBER
When enrolling with VolunteerEnergy, you will need your Consumers Energy Gas POD number, not the account number. To make sure you start receiving the rate you want ASAP: please properly record the necessary 13 digit POD number (which typically begins with 6 zeros and can be found on your Consumers Energy bill under the heading “Gas Residential Service”), and record the service name & address as it appears on your utility bill.
