What is Volunteer Energy Services, Inc. (VESI)?
VESI was founded in 2001 as an alternative source
of energy for commercial natural gas customers
and is a full-service energy provider serving
customers throughout the region. VESI provides
unique energy solutions to businesses and industries
and has the expertise to structure an energy supply
portfolio to meet a company’s individual
needs. VESI manages interstate transportation
contracts, gas storage and gas supplies via interstate
and intrastate pipelines – including local
Appalachian production.
VESI carefully administers energy purchases and
nominations, monitors energy deliveries and reconciles
all deliveries and imbalances with the local distribution
companies (LDCs).
VESI has been certified by the Public Utilities
Commission of Ohio and the Public Utilities Commission
of Michigan as a Competitive Retail Natural Gas
Supplier for gas marketing, gas brokering and
gas aggregation services and a Competitive Retail
Electric Service Provider for aggregation and
power broker services. VESI is also licensed as
a Competitive Natural Gas Supplier by the Pennsylvania
Public Utility Commission.

What is the NYMEX?
NYMEX is the New York Mercantile Exchange. Natural
gas is purchased and sold against the NYMEX price.
You can also purchase natural gas futures on the
