Appalachian Festival, May 6-8, Coney Island, Cincinnati

This 50-year old event gathers upwards of 15,000 of local and traveling attendees and after a quick visit, you’ll see why. The event offers a variety of entertainment options including dance performances, luring storytellers & more. Of course, food and dining options will be plentiful, not to mention the plethora of vendors displaying their handmade goods. Cincy-Cinco, May 7-8, 5th & Vine St., Downtown Cincinnati

This cultural celebration promises lots of food, dance and fun as it provides engaging experiences for all ages. Celebrating Cinco-de-Mayo in ways perfect for a fulfilling family outing, this two-day event will both educate and entertain. The celebration will be held around Fountain Square, located at the intersection of Fifth and Vine Streets in downtown Cincinnati.

 

Cincinnati Italian Festival, May 13-15, Harvest Home Park, Chevoit

Boasting a fun, festival atmosphere celebrating all things Italian, the Cincinnati Italian Festival is not to be missed! Lively music will be the perfect accompaniment for the delicious food you’ll taste and enjoy. Cooking demonstrations, cultural talks and of course, games and rides for the kids are just few of the opportunities available. Learn more of the enchanting Italian culture and cuisine while waiting to hear if you’re the grand prize raffle winner of $7,500!

 

Taste of Cincinnati, May 28-30, Downtown Cincinnati

Hungry? You won’t be for long if you make it a priority to attend this food haven! This 3-day celebration takes over 5+ blocks in downtown Cincinnati and features over 100 sample menus from some of Cincinnati’s best restaurants. While you walk the streets, you’ll be listening to live entertainment on multiple stages. And of course, there are plenty of carnival rides and games for you and the kids!

 

Butterflies of the Caribbean, present until June 19, Cincinnati Parks, Krohn Conservatory

Experience a whimsical ocean environment, complete with towering palm trees and hundreds of flowers while viewing the colorful butterflies. In addition to the butterfly display, visitors can enjoy the beauty of the rain forest under glass, complete with a mist system to provide a unique cloud forest experience. The new interactive butterfly landing pad will most definitely bring smiles to everyone’s faces!

BBQ & Jazz? This is a no brainer! Teaming up with the Cincy Blues Society to bring you some of the best blues bands in the country, the Buckeye BBQ Fest highlights everything we love about festivals: music, delicious food & drinks, fun & family! And to top it off, for the first time ever, a hot rod car show is added to list of features! This invitation-only car show will invite select car owners to display their hot rods for the rest of us to enjoy. Don’t miss this fun-filled family event!
