Volunteer Energy Announces Enhanced Sponsorship with Detroit Lions

Pickerington, OH, September 9, 2015: Volunteer Energy (VE), a leading Midwest natural gas and electricity supplier, will once again be teaming up with the Detroit Lions. The company announces a three-year partnership extension with the Lions which includes greater fan engagement activities for the estimated 65,000 fans per game in Ford Field.

One new fan engagement will be the launch of the Volunteer Energy Team, a high energy pep squad that will become a prominent part of fan interactions at all home games. In addition, Volunteer Energy will be the presenting sponsor of the Roar Meter. As an established fan favorite, the Roar Meter appears on stadium video boards during key defensive stands and generates the kind of noise that makes Ford Field one of the loudest stadiums in the league.

Another new VE sponsored element will be a one-of-a-kind VIP Game Experience sweepstakes, whereby one lucky fan will win an unforgettable Lions game day package. The winner will receive game tickets, sideline passes, Lion’s gear, and a night’s stay in the Westin Book Cadillac. The sweepstakes will be promoted in-stadium and on all Lions digital properties.
